The City of Sarnia is inviting the public to help reimagine Mitton Street, a key commercial corridor in the heart of Mitton Village. The street will be rebuilt as part of an infrastructure renewal project scheduled for 2026 that will focus on combined sewer separation between Wellington and Davis.
That construction opens the door for a broader redesign of the Mitton Street streetscape, including sidewalks, lighting, landscaping, and traffic features, to enhance the area’s role as a local destination for both residents and visitors.
A public survey is now open at SpeakUpSarnia.ca/MittonStreetDesign, where community members can share their vision and provide location-specific feedback using an interactive map. This is a crucial opportunity for local businesses to share their perspectives. The right streetscape design can significantly impact foot traffic, accessibility, and long-term commercial vibrancy.
The survey is open to all.
