The Sarnia Sting has officially entered a new chapter, with the team being purchased by two familiar names: Ryan Finch, President of Finch Auto Group, and Mark Guy, a former NHL agent and co-owner of the Sting for over a decade.
This new ownership brings strong local roots, deep sports leadership experience, and a renewed commitment to both the franchise and the community. Beyond the rink, the Sting are a significant economic driver for Sarnia. The team draws thousands of fans each season, boosts local tourism, and creates spinoff benefits for restaurants, hotels, and small businesses, especially during game nights and playoff runs.
The new owners have already shared ambitions to elevate the Sting brand, expand partnerships, and continue to develop young talent on and off the ice. Their combined business expertise and passion for hockey are expected to strengthen the Sting’s role as both a cultural cornerstone and a regional economic asset.
With the OHL franchise in committed hands and the team firmly rooted in Sarnia, the Sting will continue to fuel local pride, attract visitors, and foster community connections for years to come.
